Grower Champagne rooted in tradition and the terroir

Laculle Frères has a simple vision - to fully express the potential of the land and capture the sense of the land in every step, from the vineyard to the cellar. Meticulously cultivated through careful vineyard management and a focus on expressing its mineral characters in the cellar, Champagne Laculle is an undulated expression of its origin with finesse and complexity. With authenticity firmly embedded in its ethos, our family seeks to retain tradition yet express a spirit of innovation and experimentation through its champagne.

A long tradition of vine growers

The Laculle family with its origins in the Aube region, has an extended history of agriculture since the 16th century. And from 1789, vine making became our primary activity leading to the development of viticulture methods which is founded on the appreciation of the dynamic qualities of each vineyard parcel. Our philosophy is to understand our terroir, feel its seasonal rhythms and let its inimitable features be precisely expressed through each glass.

Our history

BEFORE 1789

The origins of the Laculle family can be traced to the villages of Beurey and Buxières as laboureurs , where they engaged in all forms of agricultural activity including livestock and cultivating a variety of crops.

1789- 1927

The family began to transform the acreage to vine making. Grape growing became the family’s primary agricultural activity.

1927-2018

Following the founding of the Champagne appellation, the Laculle family started to supply their harvests to established champagne houses in Champagne-Ardenne

2018- PRESENT

The adventure of Laculle Frères begins as co-founders and brothers, Edouard and Victor Laculle embark on growing and wine making, based on their singular vision to create distinctive, terroir-driven champagnes firmly embedded with the ethos of sustainable viticulture.
