Champagne Harvest 2021 in Aube

As many of you might be aware, the 2021 harvest was an incredibly challenging year for vignerons across the country, including Champagne We faced an extended biting spring frost, an unforeseen growing season of low temperatures, grey skies, and rain, and consequently rampant and relentless mildew attacks.

As the time for harvest approached, we were in a mood best described as mixed. Being in our third year of organic conversion, we were faced with a heightened risk of losses in yield. After being blessed with two years of optimum conditions for grape growing, we were now looking at the season with trepidation, nail-biting anticipation and as always, a spot of optimism.

We are glad to report that the 2021 season has unexpectedly brought better news than thought and we are looking forward to creating some magic in our cellars!

Many thanks to the Fourneau and Muntsch families who have been working with us each harvest season over the last two decades. Tradition and trust are values we espouse in every step of the champagne-making process, including the relationships we build with the people who make our dreams possible on this long journey.
